Quoted from The Power of a Praying Woman by Stomie Omartian..

None of us is perfect, cleansing my heart not as a judgement that my heart is dirty but as God’s call for me to get completely right before Him so He can bring all the blessing He has for me into my life.

In order to accomplish this, I have to examine my life closely. I have to be brave enough to ask God to teach me what I am not understanding. Convict me where I am missing the mark. Tear down my arrogance, pride, fear, insecuritites and help me to see the truth about myself, my life and my circumstances.

I have to confess to God any sins of thoughts or action that He shows me and repent.

My Prayer

Lord, I come humble before You and ask You to cleanse my heart of every fault and renew a right spirit within me. Forgive me for thougths I had, words I have spoken and things that I have done that are not glorifying to You or are in direct contradication to Your commands.

Specifically, I confess to You for putting my “Isaac” before You. I confess it as sin and repent of it that I choose to walk away and surrender all unto You knowing that You are gracious and merciful, slow to anger and of great kindness (Joel2:13). Forgive me for ever taking that for granted.

Examine my soul and expose my motive to reveal what I need understanding. Enable me to make changes where I need to do so. Open my eyes to what I need to see so that I can confess all sin and repent of it. I want to cleanse my hands and purify my heart as You have commanded in Your word (James 4:8)

Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin (Psalms 51:10-11)

Lord create in me a clean heart .. and renew steadfast spirit within me (Psalms 19:12)

See if there is any wicked way in me and lead me in the way everlasting (Psalms 139:24)

Make me clean and right before You. I want to receive Your forgiveness so that times of refreshing may come from Your presence

Deliverance removes all past brokenness and bondages from a person’s life so that the real me can come forth.

Deliverance doesn’t change me into different person. It releases me to be who I really am.

Bondages comes from disobedience. Behind every sin, there is an evil spirit. When I sin, I give that spirit a foothold of my life.

Deliverance then is evicting the devil and refuse to be crippled by him. God doesn’t force it on me; I have to desire it. I have to want to put away all the pain of the past, bad habits, negative emotions, the sin and the self indulgement. I want to be free.

God is committed to removing burdens from my lives, but the first step is up to me.

Steps to Deliverance

Confessing:speaking the whole truth about your sin
Renouncing:taking firm stand against it and removing its right to stay
Forgiving: unforgiveness hinders deliverance
Speaking: proclamation in my minds what God has done
Praying: more effective when mind fill with Word of God
Praising: worship invites God’s presence
Walking: refuse to be drawn back into the same error, severing bad habits and establishing new ones, so set mind not to be tempted back into old ways of thinking and doing.

My Prayer:
Lord I pray that You will deliver me from anything taht binds me. Enable me to recognise my sins and strengthen me to stand strong against it. Thank you for Your love and grace that I know there is freedom in You. Set me free from anything that keep me from becoming all You made me to be.

In You Most Precious Name I prayed
Amen

What is Emotional Health? Is having total peace about who I am, what I am doing and where I am going. Both individually and in relationship to those around me. Its feeling totally at peace about the past, present and future of my life. Its knowing that I’m in line wiht God’s ultimate purpose for me and being fulfilled in that.

Seven Steps to Emotional Health

Release the Past: Confess to God the times I have failed and release others that failed me by moving in full forgiveness

Live in Obedience: Understand God’s rule are for my benefit and try my best knowledge to live His way, knowing that every step of obedience bring me closer to total wholeness.

Find Deliverance: Recognise who my enemy is that separate myself from God or keep me from becoming all He made me to be.

Seek Total Restoration: Refuse to accept less than all God has for me and remember that finding wholeness ia an ongoing process.

Receive God’s Gift: Acknowledge the gifts God has given to me and take the necessary steps to receive them.

Reject the Pitfalls: Avoid or get free of negative traps and deception that rob me of life.

Stand Strong: Believe that as long as I stand with God and don’t give up.

Understanding the above with my mind will influence the state of my heart, which will affect my emotion and ultimately my entire life.

God has being so gracious .. for the healing and restoration found especially this week that I can be a whole person. I don’t have to live in fear, I don’t have to be depressed, I don’t have to feel inadequate, stupid or rejected. I dont have to put up with chronic emotional pain. Its possible to be free of all that.

Emotional wholeness is a process that involved changing habits of thinking, feeling or acting. The above steps are way of transformation of my inner being: that takes time
